- The successful candidate will be an experienced developer who is able to serve our customer in developing, and modernizing applications.
- Candidate is expected to have a complete understanding of software engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
- Activities may include concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system analysis, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, system & op. performance analysis, Lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis and physical configuration analysis (PCA).
- Candidate must be able to provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Requires the ability to understand customer problems, quickly learn new tools and technologies, and work both independently and as part of a team of developers and functional experts to rapidly deliver customer solutions.
- Candidate must demonstrate the ability to meet objectives using good judgment and techniques for obtaining solutions while working under general direction.
- Candidate will represent the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects, which may require direct communication with customers.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 3+ years of experience in development or a related field; OR Masters degree and 1+ years of experience in development or a related field
- Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain the interim Secret Security clearance to begin working on the contract. Must be able to obtain the full Secret Security clearance. SAIC will assist with the process of obtaining the interim Secret clearance for the qualified candidate.
- Strong in Java, and have secondary experience in other technologies/languages such as JSP, JavaScript, etc
- Strong understanding of Object Oriented Design
- Experience working in an Agile/DevOps process
- Strong analytic and problem solving abilities and a strong work ethic with the ability to thrive in a team/collaborative environment
- Experience with building applications
- Demonstrated experience with complex SQL queries
- Working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle
