Duties and Responsibilities for Engineering jobs in United States 2021
- Maintain and repair equipment and facilities.
- Perform preventive maintenance.
- Respond to technical emergencies.
- Shade cameras, receive and transmit video and audio and operate other equipment as part of the regular station operation.
- Participate in planning and implementation of technical projects.
- Assist in prioritizing and scheduling technical repair and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
- Wiring of facility.
- Maintain equipment, tool and parts inventory and service records.
- Assist with design of technical projects.
- Represent News 12 services in a courteous and professional manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, including courses in electronics engineering and broadcast equipment or equivalent experience preferred.
- 2+ years experience as a Video Engineer.
- Knowledge of production equipment, computers and automation equipment.
- Knowledge of video/audio signals and satellite and RF technology. Experience maintaining and repairing studio production and field production equipment and computers.
- Organizational skills. Leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical problems.
- Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
