Dua for 1st 2nd 3rd Ashra – ramzan k dusre ashre ki dua – dua for 2nd ashra

Ramadan is composed of 30 days in total and this holy month has been divided into three Ashras to make it convenient for the Fasting Muslims. Each Ashra Dua for 1st 2nd 3rd Ashra has significance in the month of Ramadan. “Ashra” is an arabic word for ten days . So when we say an Ashra of Ramadan, we are pointing towards 10 days. There are three ashra’s for 30 days in total.

Dua for Sehri – Sehri ki Dua

وَبِصَوْمِ غَدٍ نَّوَيْتُ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ

Dua for Iftar Sehri ki Dua  

اللَّهُمَّ اِنِّى لَكَ صُمْتُ وَبِكَ امنْتُ وَعَليْكَ تَوَكّلتُ وَ عَلى رِزْقِكَ اَفْطَرْتُ 

Ramzan significance will be clear when we see the implication of these three Ashras.

The first Ashra of Ramadan signifies the bestowments of Allah Almighty’s Mercy and Prizes he has in store for the believers and the Pious. There is a Dua to be recited so we can get maximum of what is being offered.

Ashra Dua of Ramadan, also known as ‘Pehle Ashray ki Dua’ in Urdu language, is a Dua for the first 10 days of Ramadan and many Muslims around the world recite this 1st ashra Dua during the entire first 10 days of Ramadan.

1st ashra dua for 1st 10 Days of Ramzan

يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغيثُ

” YA-HAYYU YA-WAYYUMU BIRAHMATIKA ASTAGEES “

Translation in urdu:

اے زندہ اور قائم رب! میں تیری رحمت کے حصول کی فریاد کرتا ہوں

Translation in English:

“O the Living, O the Eternal, I seek help in Your grace.”

2nd ashra dua for 1st 10 Days of Ramzan

The Second Ashra of Ramadan signifies the plead of “Astaghfaar”, translated as “Atonement” from Allah Almighty, for all the wrongdoings committed knowingly or unknowingly.

2nd Ashra Dua of Ramadan, also known as ‘Dusre Ashra ki Dua’ in Urdu language, is a Supplication which many Muslims recite during 10 days of Ramadan.

اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللہَ رَبِّی مِنْ کُلِّ زَنْبٍ وَّ اَتُوْبُ اِلَیْہِ

“ASTAGFIRULLAHA RAB-BI MIN KULLI ZAMBIYON WA-ATOOBUILAIYH”

Translation in urdu:

میرے رب! میں اپنے گناہوں کی مغفرت چاہتا ہوں اور تیری جانب پلٹتا (توبہ کرتا) ہوں

Translation in English:

I seek forgiveness from Allah for all my sins and turn to Him.

3rd ashra dua for last 10 Days of Ramadan

The 3rd Ashra of Ramadan signifies to implore the blessing of Allah Almighty for the safety from the eternally burning fires of “Jahannum”.
