Duties and Responsibilities for Software engineer jobs Washington, dc
- Collaborate with the team to implement new software features and products from inception to delivery
- Analyze performance and develop improvements of web application
- Perform upgrades to 3rd party libraries and tools used by the web application
- Adopt best practices such as authoring of unit tests, writing maintainable code, applying established patterns and algorithms
- Develop software to support internal initiatives, tools, update framework and application functionality
- Work as part of an Agile team in the planning, scoping, estimation and execution of technical solutions
- Work within a wide range of new and legacy code and technologies in a mature codebase
Qualifications/Experience
- 5+ years for experience in developing highly scalable, reliable, and secure web applications
- Strong experience building responsive UI applications using frameworks like ReactJS, Vue.js, and Angular.
- Proficient in developing backend services using Node.js and TypeScript. PHP knowledge will be an advantage.
- One to two yrs of experience with data persistence (using RDBMS, NoSQL etc.). Experience with Docker, npm, yarn, GitHub, Jenkins.
- Exposure to build restful services using AWS services such as such as API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, SNS etc. is a plus.
- Experience collaborating with QA, Design, and Product Management in Agile environment. Excellent communication skills.
- Enjoy being part of a highly collaborative, remote-friendly environment. One year of experience in product or SaaS development.
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks. Ready to take challange and learn new technologies
